Her feet were running toward the ocean before they even hit the ground. Her delighted expression said, “This is where I want to be!”  FUN just isn’t a big enough word to describe the joy, the freedom, the thrill of running through the sand…away from mom.

Splashing in the ocean…to get her new dress all wet.

Giving dad big hugs.

A two year old’s imagination is limitless when fueled with elements at the beach.

John and I went to see Matt & Kim in concert down at the Aloha Tower last night.
It was so…entertaining.
They are really great live! So much energy!
A fun date night, to say the least.

12 Years

Over the weekend my husband and I celebrated our twelve-year anniversary. John made me my favorite dessert, chocolate soufflé. It was so delicious, even better than usual. Perhaps it just tastes better when someone else does the work. Well, I loved it. And I love my sweet husband. He takes such good care of me!

Enjoy the recipe!

Chocolate Soufflé

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
10 Tbls butter
1 ½ cups powdered sugar
½ cup flour
3 whole eggs
3 egg yolks
*Optional: powdered sugar and raspberries to garnish

PREHEAT oven to 425 degrees. Grease ramekins or soufflé dishes and place on baking
sheet.

STIR together powdered sugar, flour, and eggs until well blended. Use a mixer for the
best consistency.

MICROWAVE chocolate and butter in large bowl until butter is melted. Stir until
chocolate is completely melted. Pour into the egg mixture and mix well. Divide batter
evenly into greased ramekins.

BAKE 15 minutes for 5 ounce ramekins. Bake 20 minutes for 8 ounce ramekins or
until cakes are firm around the edges but soft in the centers. Let stand 1 minute. Run
small knife around cakes to loosen. Immediately invert cakes onto serving plate. Sprinkle
lightly with additional powdered sugar and garnish with raspberries, if desired.

Makes 8 servings in the 5 oz. ramekins, or 4-5 servings in the 8 oz ramekins.

Variation: To make the soufflés a rich dark chocolate flavor, add ½ cup more chocolate
chips or substitute type of chocolate used.

Jasmine Star on CreativeLive

I really gained a lot of courage and insight from Jasmine Star when I first started my own business. Her story is so inspiring! I have been trying to get into one of her workshops for the last two years. They sell out in minutes! I was thrilled to finally get the chance to be a part of one of her workshops through CreativeLive.

It has been such a great learning tool. For the last few weeks, I’ve been pouring over the workshops at CreativeLive.com. Last August, Jasmine Star did a five day workshop covering a wedding in Seattle…live! Although this actually happened last Fall, it was great to watch. I really felt like I was there on location. It was so thorough and comprehensive…I was not expecting so much for so little! She went into amazing detail covering every aspect of her business. On top of all that, I  watched Jasmine approach a real “live” wedding from start to finish. After five full days of this, I feel like I walked away with so much information and enthusiasm to start anew. It left me renewed and excited to approach my business through a new lens, so to speak.

She waves her hands and smiles big when she sees mom looking her way. The story is told in how her eyes light up from the excitement of the game…peek-a-boo! I see you! A giggle, a toothless smile, a squeal of delight. Her eyes are alight with pure fascination. Right now, at this moment, it is the most fantastic game in the world.
