I loved photographing this beautiful family gathering. Everyone was so wonderful. We enjoyed a hot sunny morning in Lanikai for this lovely family reunion! What a special time creating memories!

Valentine Sweethearts

Today I was reminded of when I was in 6th grade and wrote a paper about the Valentine’s Day Massacre. While everyone else in my 6th grade class was writing about love and drawing hearts all over their papers, I insisted that red, pink and white really represented blood, flesh and courage as the true colors of battle. Apparently I was a bit anti-Valentine’s then. Now that I am slightly more grown up, I have changed my mind about the holiday. I get creative thinking of fun ways to show my kids how much they are loved.
One of these ideas came from tinyprints.com. These adorable mini cards were so irresistible I had to get them. This morning I even got the nod of approval from my husband. I always assume he doesn’t care about these things, but I saw that he kept picking up the cards saying, “these are so cute!”
Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you have a day filled with the sweetness of love…and also the courage to share it.

Beter late than never, I wanted to share some of my favorite images from Brent & Ezra’s party. I loved planning (and photographing) this super cool birthday party at the skatepark! It was a great activity and all the kids had a blast. Thanks to Jenn Clark for all the amazing decorations and cute chocolate skateboards!

The Eror Family is one of the most amazing families I’ve come to know while living here in Kailua. When my young family moved here more than 10 years ago, they took us in and made us feel so welcome here. They are generous, giving and so willing to share their talents.
Now the Erors are off to greener pastures and I’m so sad to see them go! I love this family session at the beach. One last reunion before the BIG move with all the kids and their spouses visiting Kailua for the holidays. Such a fun celebration!
You will all be so missed!
