While everyone else in my 6th grade class was writing about love and drawing hearts all over their papers, I insisted that red, pink and white really represented blood, flesh and courage as the true colors of battle. Apparently I was a bit anti-Valentine&#8217;s then. Now that I am slightly more grown up, I have changed my mind about the holiday. I get creative thinking of fun ways to show my kids how much they are loved.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-6147\" alt=\"candyHearts-jsp\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jennispeedphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/candyHearts-word-850x637.jpg\" width=\"850\" height=\"637\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jennispeedphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/candyHearts-word-850x637.jpg 850w, https:\/\/www.jennispeedphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/candyHearts-word-150x112.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.jennispeedphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/candyHearts-word-500x375.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.jennispeedphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/candyHearts-word.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><br \/>\nOne of these ideas came from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tinyprints.com\/shop\/valentines_day_cards_for_kids.htm\" onclick=\"_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/www.tinyprints.com\/shop\/valentines_day_cards_for_kids.htm', 'tinyprints.com']);\" target=\"_blank\">tinyprints.com<\/a>. These adorable mini cards were so irresistible I had to get them. This morning I even got the nod of approval from my husband. I always assume he doesn&#8217;t care about these things, but I saw that he kept picking up the cards saying, &#8220;these are so cute!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Happy Valentine&#8217;s Day!
